Press registration is open to any member of the broadcast, print and Internet media who can prove they work for an organization or publication that covers fashion/retail/manufacturing/news or entertainment on a regular basis.
We welcome anyone to apply for press credentials but reserve the right to deny you a pass. As such, please provide us copies of your articles either at your publication’s Web site or on the publication’s masthead. Freelance writers and photographers must submit a letter from the news organization they are representing on that company’s letterhead and signed by the editor or have the editor email us from the organization’s email system. Emails from public domains such as yahoo, Gmail, msn, etc. are not accepted as valid business email accounts. Please indicate your media reach in numbers (i.e. media impressions, subscriptions, followers, page views, viewers or audience). Applications may be denied if this information is not provided.
At the show, please be able to present a business card & contact information for your assignment editor should we need it to validate your credentials before issuing you a pass.
Note: Press registration is open to any member of the broadcast, print and Internet media who can prove they work for an organization or publication that covers fashion/retail/manufacturing/news or entertainment on a regular basis.
For returning press members, applications will automatically be denied if evidence of prior coverage is not provided.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please provide your prior coverage of DC Fashion Week and indicate how it was shared (i.e. via an article, blog, photo gallery, magazine, newsletter, etc.) and the extent of its reach.
Please provide the names of all journalists, photographers or representatives of your organization who are attending the events.
Press registration is open to editorial staff and their photographers only; in addition, our policy is one writer and one photographer per media outlet with the exception of television crew.
Failure to provide a writing sample or previous coverage of a fashion related event might result in your application not being approved for fashion week.
Upon approval your representative(s) should arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to show time to ensure proper seating and check-in.
The dress code for the finale is semi-formal/ cocktail.
